Sorry for the delay in posting. We’re packing and moving out of our house by this weekend so it’s been kind of crazy lately. (but good crazy) :) I can’t believe October is here already. I’m actually looking forward to some cooler weather, just not cold weather. Anyway, hope everyone is doing good!!

Dear Family and Friends,
We have been amazed, since the first days of our relationship, at how God has worked to bring us together, to pave a way with new jobs, and provide for our every need. We have always believed that God meets our needs, but to see it so tangibly is really amazing.
We have been praying and working to get moved closer to those whom we wanted to live in community with since we’ve been married. Month after month we have not been able to sell the house in Keller to move closer to our jobs and friends. Our trip to California solidified in our minds what we were feeling in our hearts, and that is a desire and call to move to California and begin a new chapter. Jon has a great opportunity to start his own Mac focused IT Solutions business, and the housing market right now will allow for an affordable move from Texas to California. Once Jon’s business is up on its feet, I hope to start my own business doing photography, and have already started my own YTB branded travel booking business. There is a peace and an excitement in our hearts and minds to make this move. Plus, we just could not stand being this far away from Apple Headquarters in Cupertino, CA. Just kidding! (well, sorta ;-))
We’re looking at moving during the Thanksgiving holiday and covet your prayers during these next few months of preparation. We’ve listed our house with a “lease then purchase” company and already have a contract with a family in need of our house which is a huge answer to prayer. They will lease for 12 months and then buy, and the purchase price and time frame are all established up front. We won’t have to take a loss on our house, praise God. The hardest part of this move will be leaving The Village Church, IBC, and all those we love.
We will of course visit as often as we can and know that you are all more than welcome to visit us. We’’ll be in Folsom, just 2 1/2 hours from San Francisco and just an hour and a half from Lake Tahoe. To keep updated on our new journey, you can bookmark this blog.

So, my fellow married ladies, have you experienced that moment yet (really, one of many moments) where your husband surprises you with his goofiness or his sweet-ness or, in this story, his brilliance.
So we’re about to turn in Jon’s Toyota truck and he says “I’m going to go out and pull the iPod system out of the truck so it will be ready to turn in.” I go out there after a little bit to see how it’s coming and he’s pulling both seats out and the middle console. I figured there was some technical stuff I wouldn’t understand about his iPod setup when I had first seen it but I had no idea just how much he did. Check this out:
Don’t get me wrong; I’ve always known Jon was smart. He’s my Renaissance man!! He’s a woodworker, IT genius, talented musician, funny, and an amazing cook. I just love those moments where I’m just in awe of the man that God has graced me with to follow, serve, and love. (Even in his goofiest moments)
Love you babe!!
Ladies, any stories of your men surprising you?? :)
